Outreach and Sustainability
Outreach is just as important as building and programming. We spread our team's name throughout our area by hosting outreaches with other teams and meeting with many STEM professionals. Most importantly, we strive to spread the word of FIRST and STEM by organizing various camps and fundraisers. Here are our main outreaches.
YELLOW PROJECT
Our annual Yellow Project is a free, five-week, summer course in which we guide our students through the process of creating STEM-based solutions to a real-world problem. Each year has a different theme for students to work with; this year was, "Putting the Art in STEAM". Through this outreach, we were able to connect with 4 STEM professionals and around 40 students.

AERONAUTICS CAMP
Our annual summer Aeronautics Camp educates kids on the science behind rockets and drones. Kids learn and experiment with different aspects of basic aerodynamics, build and test model rockets, and fly drones.
THE SHORTER CIRCUITS
In the spirit of our all-girls team, we initiated an all-girls FLL team called, "The Shorter Circuits".
STEM GIRLS
Many members of our team participate in FIRST's STEM Girls, where they do presentations and talks on different types of mechanisms and meet with FIRST's own scholars and professionals.
MENTORS AND OTHER OUTREACHES
Over the years, we have accumulated mentors for our team that help us build and program our robot, as well as give us advice on how to organize and run our team. We have also participated in many other outreaches.
